Pursuing Your Dreams

Many of us have taken very long trips down Accomplishment Lane, and we have received many life altering experiences along the way. It is one thing to accomplish our dreams, but it is another thing to enjoy the very long process of achieving our dreams.

Some people are so focused on the Final Goal that they find no joy or enjoyment in the process.

If we have found what it is that we want to do, and we strike out on that journey, please understand, that we are by far, more blessed than the average person. To know what it is we really want to do, to find our work in life, our purpose, to find out what direction we want to go in is such a blessing.

If we were to sit down and talk with the average person, often times we will find out they do not have their life on track. These could actually be people that we look at and think to ourselves, “they really have it all together, they have it going on”.

We sometimes find ourselves evaluating the outside appearance of others, thinking to ourselves, “Oh, they walk the walk, Wow, they talk the talk, they look like it”. If we actually sit down and talk with those people, we will find, that they might be the average person who has Not found their way in life, have Not discovered what it is they want to do, and have No idea how to get there.

If we are on the other side of that situation, if we understand our purpose, if we have an idea of what we want to be, and we are on our way there, we are Truely Blessed! In this blessing we must recognize it as a blessing. We must recognize the fact that we are on the right side. There should be a sense of accomplishment and a sense of being well pleased within us, that we are on track to accomplish our goals.

There are many times in life that we remain so focused on our goals that we forget to look up, take a breath, and thank GOD for allowing us to be in this position, a position that many people are still trying to figure out.

Continue to pursue your dreams!

Blessings To You All My Friends!

  1. There are so many people that don’t have any goals in their lives that it’s staggering. It shows how today’s society is teaching us to be mindless robots in serving others. We are taught to grow up, go to school, get a diploma and then be consumed in the system in order to feed the beast and keep the wheels turning.

Having dreams and goals goes against the system that we have been taught to serve and can really change someone’s life forever. But you don’t only need to have dreams but have the power to take action in order to fulfill them.

  2. While I do not share your theology, I can and do respect your faith, which I once had in abundance.

Often I find times when it would be useful to once again have that faith but alas its not returning to me anytime soon. The purpose and determination that comes across in your posts is impressive and unparalleled and I have little doubt that I am on a path to achieving my dreams.

    Thanks

    Hamish.

  3. Hey Jerry, I fully agree that most people have not discovered their purpose and therefore their ships have no rudders.  I, like you, have realised our paths and enthusiastically pursue our dreams.  We are blessed.

Once we know what we want and step out on our journey all sorts of growth happens along the way. The road blocks we need to overcome, the small wins that take us closer and relationships with people on their journeys that totally understand our drive and enthusiasm.

Maybe the crisis we are facing will somehow shake people up to realise their dreams. Often when things are taken away we question whether they were really fulfilling and meaningful.

I love that I am enjoying my journey along the way and it never ceases to amaze me the pleasure each step brings.

Enjoy your journey Jerry and stay blessed.  Cheers

    1. Thank you for reading and commenting on this blog.

There are a lot of changes that must be made and challenges that must be overcome for growth to begin to take place.

I agree that once we are faced with situations that places us in survival mode, only then is when most of us begin to realize what is really necessary and important.

  4. I have a dream too. To be able to have multiple streams of income. I am still working on it, so far I have a blog and yet to make money. I have a house renting out, there’s renting income. I invested in the stock market, apparently, the market is down now, hopefully, the economy can pick up pretty soon. I don’t have a job now, wishfully I can work out on something pretty soon. Not giving up pursuing my dream! Very motivational post you have here, thank you!

    1. Thank you for reading and commenting.

It my experience that brings me to the point I am about to make, anyone who invests in the stock market needs to understand that stocks are extremely risky, and I have lost thousands of dollars, but I understood the risks going in. Always remember that the stock market is up today, down tomorrow, all the way up next year, so once we sit on the roller coaster we might as well go for the ride.

As long as we keep trying and hanging in there, our dreams can always be pursued and accomplished. Many thanks to you for reading and commenting on this blog.

Thank you for considering this a very motivational post.

  5. Thanks for sharing this article.

Most average people don’t have a track on their life or has not found the way in their life. They haven’t discovered what they want to do in life.

Let’s take the case of a student, most students always have a dream of becoming a better person in the future while other student are just going to school because they are asked to, not knowing what they want or not having any idea of want or what they want to be. They don’t even have a plan for the future that says “after school what’s next”.

But most of us have that idea and after achieving their dreams they forget to give thanks to God which is wrong. My little advice to those people is, learn to appreciate God always.

Once again thanks for the reminder and also for sharing.
