Parenting In A Demanding World

We are living in a very demanding world which makes being a parent very hard. As our careers take off, we achieve promotions and move up yo the next level, our time becomes very limited, especially in today’s world. It starts to become difficult to allocate our time with our families and we sometimes even begin to overlook the basics.

Our spouses and children can see that they are being ignored from our lack of presence in their lives. Many of us put more of our time in on our jobs than we do with our families. The Holy Bible speaks about how to work and it also instructs us about the fruits of our labor. While those things are mentioned in the Holy Bible, it is also instructional on marriage and children.

As parents, we need to show our families that we love them more than we love our work. We must understand that our families are gifts from God, and these gifts should not be minimized. Our families need our attention and they also require our affection.

As parents, we need to show our families the depth of our love by teaching our children how to allocate their time by putting family first and always teaching them the difference between right and wrong decisions. This is very hard to do if we do not spend the required amount of time with them.

We should exhibit our love for the Lord and teach our children how to pray about each and every little thing. We should make it our business to see to it that they learn the Holy Bible Scriptures, because this is the book of instruction on how to live life on this earth. When our children see our example that Christ is the center of our lives, we should hope that they will emulate our examples and create beautiful memories that will be passed on to the next generation and hopefully last lifetimes.

If we are not careful, in today’s world, we will find that we have exchanged the love of our family and home for the dedication and attention to our professional business; while living in the constant motion that robs our souls from memories and the bonding of our families. Truly, amazing things can happen when our families come together in the good times and also the bad times.

Our job on this earth is to produce and put forth our greatest efforts to honor the Lord in all that we do. This is a testimony that we should live, a legacy we should leave, and our faith in God that stands firm in our seasons of life.

It has been my pleasure to share another inspirational blog with you all.

Blessings To You My Friends,

Jerry

  1. Hey Jerry! I totally agree with you when you said that the world today is quite demanding and that we have to be careful how we “feed” our children and how much time we spend with them to give them a direction that they will not forget even when they grow old.

While when I was growing up, none of my siblings nor me had the chance to have a personal smartphone or mobile phone while it is a completely different story with the younger generations, with extra pressure to parenting and proper discipline. Great article!

Parenting is really a difficult task especially when one is a single parent…it could make life unbearable at a point when things doesn’t go as planned, and it becomes imperative that as a parent one has got to put their life in order before going into parenting because at a point it may become unbearable.

It is very important to bring up children in the faith and they should know the benefits of trusting the Almighty God. But nowadays many parents are too busy and ignore this important role.

  5. I have been in this parenting business for roughly 7 years now and I must tell you having a few numbers of young ones looking up to you for guidance, protection, provision, and so on is not very easy; as we all know, the times we are in now is very demanding but we must do our best to measure up.
