Principles Of Success

There is this great news that I must share with everyone I can. A principle of becoming successful at whatever level we choose.

We can be successful in our relationships, successful in our families, successful at becoming a home-owner, becoming debt free, maybe an annual salary of $60,000.00 per year, $100,000.00 per year, it doesn’t matter.

If we are considering it, if we want it, if we have a desire to become successful, the very beginning of this must be shared.

We need to understand that the Holy Bible Scriptures makes this very clear for us. Everything we need in order to become successful is already inside of us. This is not an external need.

GOD would not do this to us, He puts the core basics for everything we need inside of us. So, if we discover this, if we tend to this, nurture it, fertilize it, water it, it grows, it branches out. Then it starts to reach out externally and grab things outside of itself to make it even bigger, stronger, better, last longer.

In the very beginning, we don’t need anything because it is already inside of us. If we cultivate our relationship with GOD, it comes out, it flourishes.

This is a Gift that has been given to us all by GOD. We all possess it, it is within all of us in some way shape, or form. Each one of us has a gift that GOD has Blessed us with. If someone had told most of us what we know now, maybe a decade or two ago, depending on our ages. It is likely we would have saved ourselves tons of mistakes, because we didn’t start out knowing principles of success, we had to learn this at some point.

Mindset

One of the principles of becoming successful is our mindset. We all must get our minds right.

This mindset, is simply a decision that we can make ourselves. No one else can make this decision for us. Someone else may be able to tell us what to do, but we must make the decision on our own.

Let us take a look at a few examples:

Maybe we will decide that we will stop renting and become a homeowner.

Well, we might decide we will stop living check to check, and begin putting a budget together.

How about deciding not to step out on our families by going home after work instead of doing all of the things outside of the home that suits us.

When we make these decisions, we are correcting our mindset. The better our relationship is with GOD, the better we get at sustaining our mindset.

How many times have we started to do something, but we end up stopping in our tracks?

How many resolutions have we made during new Years, and then stopped by February, over by mid January, done by March?

If we do not have a clear connection with our creator to help us carry out these decisions, we will find ourselves falling into the hands of the evil forces.

The adversary will find ways to keep us from reaching our goals, not coming to resolution with whatever resolutions we have decided to make. This, in turn, will leave us with the feeling of failure, not worthy or unable to do things.

The more things we are able to accomplish, the greater our confidence grows.

So let us decide to get our mindsets together, these decisions that we have to make. Once we make the decision, we then begin the process.

Our mindset is also a Will of our own along with the decision. A Will, a willingness to do right. A willingness to change. A willingness to be better.

This will, in turn, cause us to have to make a change in direction. We must not be concerned with where everyone else is going, we must go our own way now.

We must not follow the crowd, we must take the less traveled path.

An Obligation

Now, we must develop an obligation to ourselves, to be the best self we can possibly be.

The best father, the best man, the best husband, the best wife, the best mother, the best daughter, the best son, the best student, the best employee, the best owner.

We have an obligation to ourselves to give ourselves a shot t the best life we can possibly have. We owe at least this much to ourselves.

Why would we cheat ourselves?

Why would we not allow ourselves to see the goodness that has already been stored in us, to have the abundance that has already been promised to us, to go and explore all of the riches out there that is available to each one of us?

Robbing Ourselves

One of the worst ways we can rob ourselves of the joy of our obligation is to compare ourselves to other people, because guess what? That is Not our life!

We should learn to quit looking around at everyone else to see how we measure up in comparison to them.

That comparison to everyone else will keep us broken, because it will have us focused on what we don’t have, instead of being thankful for what we do have.

What GOD has for them, it is for them, as it is the same for each of us.

Another part of our mindset is taking dead aim at our goals and our visions.

What are they?

What are our goals and our visions?

What do we see for ourselves?

What do we dream about?

If we knew we could not fail at whatever we attempted, what would we go attempt?

This is what we need to be after, we need to get that, just sitting there, thinking about it, saying, man, there has got to be more to this. Well, it is.

This is the GOD in us crying out, that is the seed that has been planted in us, that is the gift that is in there that as been locked away for years.

It is never too late to be free.

When Nelson Mandela was alive he suffered 20+ years behind a wall, when he got out, he contained more power, more significance than he had before he went in.

It is never too late to be free, it is a mindset. It is a decision, it is a will, it is a change of direction, it is an obligation to ourselves. It is taking dead aim at our visions and goals.

Thank you all for your time,

Blessings To You All!

  1. Hi Jerry, it was pleasure reading your article about excuses. I realized that my life sometimes has been filled with unrealistic dreams and untrue promises. I had many excuses and procrastinated for many things in life. This has opened my eyes  and I believe that it will open eyes of many others as well. 2. Thanks, I agree wholeheartedly, the power of mindset is not to be underestimated.

While I do not necessarily share your theological philosophy, it is an inescapable fact that the human race is the most adaptable and resilient species on the planet. It has adapted and overcome countless events of adversity and I am confident It will for many centuries and Millennia to come.

    Thanks thought provoking post

  3. The principles of success that you have discussed are well known but not implemented in our daily lives, as much as we should be doing and what a great phrase “correcting our mindsets”. I have never heard it put that way before and it is has turned on a light bulb in my brain.

I am one of those people who start something and never finish it, because I began off with the right mind set in place, but never kept it up. After reading your article I can clearly see why. I don’t make it an obligation to myself to achieve or overcome. This is something that I really need to deal with especially when it concerns my health, at a time when it is of urgent importance.

Thank you so much, I am going to review your success principles and apply them.
