GOD’s Promises – On GOD We Trust

Will you follow him? In order to follow Christ we must first deny ourselves. We must deny ourselves of people who are distracting us from GOD. We must also deny ourselves of things that are distracting us from GOD.

Taking up our crosses and following Jesus Christ daily is our doorway to benefit from GOD’s Promises. This will teach us how to deal with the unlikely ways of people and how to love them the way GOD wants us to.

GOD’s Word is filled with promises from our Creator to provide and deliver. It is very important that we keep our minds and eyes focused on GOD.

Promises Of GOD to Man

We are all accustomed to promises. We are also accustomed to seeing them made and broken. Anyone who has lived for a number of years would certainly never lay claim to having kept every promise made. There are GODLY Principles we must continue to stand on, it is on GOD we trust to deliver us from this world of sin.

What is the character of GOD?

GOD is not an abstract idea, He is not generic in His Being. He is a Sovereign Supreme Spirit, Divine in His Composition. The Grace, Mercy and Love of GOD is intentional, unconditional, full. GOD is always a complete self existing being of all Holiness and unchangeable in his being.

The Almighty

GOD is Absolute and Sovereign in His Unlimited Authority. Anything that GOD wants to do He can because He is unrestricted, unrestrained, boundless, God is infinite, He is eternal, GOD is wisdom, GOD is holiness, He is justice, full of goodness, and truth.

He is Divine in His Composition, He is Holy in His Discourse, He is Righteous in His Character, The Mighty “I Am”, Prince of Peace, Invincible Ruler of the Universe, The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and The End, The First and The Last, Who sits on the circle of the Earth.

GOD is an Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent True GOD and besides Him there is no other.

What is the nature of GOD?

Genesis 1:1, informs us that out of nowhere, time, space, and all of the living creation suddenly appears as God speaks the universe into existence. With the utterance of His voice, creation takes form, chaos yields to order, light veils darkness, and emptiness is occupied with life.

Triune GOD

According to the Holy Bible, GOD is never mentioned as a trinity god. He is mentioned as a Triune GOD.

Matthew 28:19, instructs us who are Christians to go out and make disciples in all the nations. Ceremonially washing them through baptism in the name of the Triune GOD: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

What is the grace of GOD?

According to the Holy Bible, GOD’s forgiveness is often directly associated with the word grace, this refers to favor that we have done absolutely nothing to earn in order to receive the amount of grace we get from GOD.

In John 1:14, we learn Jesus Christ, who is GOD in the flesh on earth, dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

What is the blessing of GOD?

Genesis 28:1, Isaac calls Jacob to bless him, and entrusted him with a task, duty, and/or responsibility not to take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

In Genesis 28:2 we learn that GOD will Bless Jacob if he goes to Padan–aram, to the house of Bethuel his mother’s father (his maternal grandfather); and take himself a wife.

What is the presence of GOD?

GOD’s presence can be something people fear. As we look at Genesis 3:8, we learn Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD GOD amongst the trees of the garden of Eden because they disobeyed his command not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

His presence can provide comfort in times of trouble or anxiety.

In Joshua 1:5, GOD tells Joshua “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee”.

Faithful GOD

In closing, If we know anything about GOD, we should know He is omnipresent. He knows and hears our every word and holds us accountable for it all. We should always keep our behavior respectful and humble because GOD is always watching.

There is no greater blessing than the gift of GOD’s salvation. GOD promised that all things will work out for good for His children.

GOD’s Word contains literally thousands of Bible promises waiting to be claimed in faith. The Bible is the ultimate source for truth and GOD is faithful to fulfill all His promises. Here are a number of verses below that are related to GOD’s Promises.

  1. Hi Jerry. Interesting reminders of the nature of God. For me this is real because it is the grace of God that has stabilized me through my many life challenges. Isn’t it a blessing to have the Word, The Holy Bible to refer to ? We. Learn all these teachings from Sunday Schools and through the many sermons and books we read but somehow we tend to forget the truths and go through unnecessary suffering. Thanks for a good read

    1. Yes, I agree that we tend to forget the truths and go through unnecessary suffering. This is why it is important for us to read and study GOD’s word daily after prayer.

Thank you for your understanding, as well as your comments.

      All The Best To You!

  2. This article is fantastic! I consider my self to be a Christian grew up in the church with my Mom and brother, We were both ushers of the church and my Mom sang on the choir we would usher in the choir. Our mother also did poetry and was very well at it in fact starting her own poet business and pretty much freelance her self as a poet. The thing is she Spoke through God he gave he this gift and such talent to just come up with the most powerful poems for any situation but she did them in his name. Your post really hits home for me because like you mentioned the distraction in life are what get you to backslide I have been down that road. Reading verses in you article are very inspiring and feed the holy spirit within, This article is very nice and easy to understand and read I love the short but detailed paragraphs and the picture and right where they need to be. I look at pages like this to get an ideal how clean my page should look. Thank you and God Bless – Ramone

    1. Thank you Ramone for reading my post. I am happy to be a vessel that GOD used to reach you and remind you of the wonderful gift GOD Blessed your mother with. You know we all have a gift or gifts that GOD blessed us with, not all of us realize this though.

I meant for this post to be very nice and easy to understand, and I also meant for the paragraphs to be short but detailed and images to be right where they need to be. I did this to capture the attention of the reader, such as yourself, without causing boredom.

Thank you for your detailed comments and how the post reminded you of your mother’s gift.

  3. Hello,
    You have a good site.
I did test it, and every page and post works, I did not like that all the text flashes red when you hover over it with your mouse, however, to each their own.

I am not sure that was you’re idea or the Theme.

The subject is not of my interests or belief. But I think you explained it very well in the text and content, which makes it really easy to read and understand.

Overall, I think this is a very good website and with this content, you will help the people that are interested in this subject.

  4. I have the same understanding of God. I think God is always present and comes always in our aid. He will never ask or never think about or reasons. If we truly need him, he will be there. Of course, sometimes bad things happen and we can not see the greater good in all. We often blame God for this, but I know that many great things happend to meafter a few failures.

Thank you for this inspiring article.

    1. I truly thank GOD for His Grace and Mercy, I am pleased this post inspired you, and you are certainly welcome.

      All The Best To You,

      Jerry

  5. I really appreciate the quotes you provided throughout and I agree, in order to follow Christ we must first deny ourselves. It’s interesting to think that God’s presence has been a source of fear and comfort alike, and I think there is a duality that exists throughout the Bible like that mentioned in Joshua 1:5. God indeed is omnipresent and it’s a post like this that helps us to remember that and be inspired. I have enjoyed this post and I’m looking forward to reading more of them, thank you!

    1. Thank you for taking the time to read and understand this post. For me, It is always good to converse with fellow Christians, this reminds me that I am not as alone in this walk of life as it feels at times.

  6. I suppose your target market is the christian community. There is a big interest in the topic that has lived for at least 2000 years and it seems there will be Christians forever in this world there the topic is very relevant and no matter how many times you hear it that gospel message lives forever. I found myself reading more than I have read the bible lately and yes it touches my heart and you can go as deep as you want into scripture there is no end

    1. I am trying to reach and inspire everyone who is willing to give GOD control in their lives, first we must pray for understanding, then read GOD’s word, and trust GOD to lead and direct us.

      Thank you for your comments.

      All The Best To You!

  7. Thanks for sharing this beautiful word of God, it is very important though hard to stay away from the things which distract us from God. there are so many things pulling our attention in several directions, things which may seem like the better path in the short term but long term we realize the best path is the one where God takes the lead. I loved that towards the end you linked having good morals to being a child of God, this is a very important though minimized aspect of religion. It is very important not just to talk the talk but equally walk the walk.

    1. Temptation will always do what it is designed to do, Temp us. It is up to us to use the Free Will that GOD has allowed us to really decide which path we want to take.

Thank you for taking the time to read and understand this post.

      All The Best To You!

      Jerry

  8. Amen. Thank you for explaining also on matters pertaining to the trinity which is one matter questioned by a lot of people. Another thing i have always questioned was how we ought to pray, in the name of the father the son and the Holy ghost or in the name of Jesus Christ or is this all the alright? Thank you Jerry for bringing us back to the Word again, all put hope and trust surely should be in God, for in the end all else will fail. GOD BLESS YOU

    1. You are certainly welcome, thank you for taking the time to read and understand this post.

      GOD Bless You As Well!

  9. Hi! In the Bible we learn that God is a triune God. That despite Him being allmighty, Holly and sovereign, He’s Willing to extend mercy onto us. It’s so good for us to view things as God views them. We sometimes consider ourselves really special and that God owes us something for us being so special. But God says clearly that we have offended Him through sin. And that we deserve judgement. But the Bible also explains He loves us and wants to save us. And to do that He sent His Son who paid the price of our redemption. This is God’s gift of salvation. How grateful all those that comprehend the extention of His gift and accept it!

    1. I agree whole heartedly. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment for this post.

To GOD goes All the Glory!

      All The Best You!!!

      Jerry
